Ex Cathedra Sauvignon Blanc

£30.95

Ex Cathedra offers very pure, mineral and fresh fruit and floral aromas on the nose, which are neither green nor tropical, but so invitingly subtle, elegant and profound that you don’t want to name the scents, just enjoy them. On the palate, too, this is a pure, complex and powerful wine of great personality, finesse and expression. Tightly woven and animating in its vibrant, citric limestone minerality, this is a serious, fresh and persistent wine.

About Erdevik

Erdevik Winery is located in the village of Erdevik, in the western foothills of Alma Mons (Fruska Gora). Located 140 meters above sea level Erdevik, with its three lakes is one of the most beautiful villages in the region of Syrmia (Srem).

Fruska Gora explained

The Fruška Gora hill runs approximately 80 kilometers east to west and its highest point is 539 meters. It’s flanked to the north by the Danube River. Most of the hill lies within Serbia’s borders, but a tiny portion of the western end is in Croatia. Vineyard soils are multilayered and full of minerals which provides robustness and complexity in the wines. On the surface the soil is alluvial. There are several layers of clay and limestone where plant roots reach fossilized segments of shell and coral deposited by Pannonian sea sediments.
